| Patricia Carroll Patricia was born in Pasadena, California and raised as an only child. She graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a BFA in interior design in 1079. For 13 years she practiced commercial interior design and sold office products and furnishings in Wyoming and California. She always had creative yearnings and they were stimulated by her mother and from the various art classes that were a requirement for her degree. In the mid 1980's she started painting watercolors. Living by the ocean in Santa Cruz, California gave rise to this inspiration. When she and her husband moved to Sedona, Arizona in 1992, the colorful scenic wonderland and the artistic community further inspired her to pursue her art. Her style is realistic. She works primarily in oil and acrylic. Although she enjoys painting landscapes, her favorite subject matter is people. She has been a professional seamstress, gourd artist, leather worker and she has done bead work. Her pieces are held in private and public collections from California to Florida. |
